Who can post comments?
Any consumers can rate a business and post comments related to the products and services offered by the specific Canadian business. The business managers can address the issues themselves by answering to comments posted by consumers or inserting messages related to their products and/or services.

A Canadian business is any organization that has a Canadian component either in their corporate or management structure, or in the products or services they offer, or the products or services are addressing to Canadian consumers.

Why aren’t my comments listed immediately after I press the “submit” button?
When a consumer posts a review or a comment, it will have a “pending posting” status and it will be available shortly after the administrator approves the review – a technical requirement. In this way we can keep the site clean of inappropriate language or content.


Why can't I rate lower than 3 Stars?
You can, however you need to post a comment related to the low score you want to submit.


Can I change the business information on a business that I have submitted?
As a consumer you can introduce a business for rating but you cannot change business information after you have pressed the “submit” button. The changes are reserved to the business itself because they know best their information. The business representative needs to register as a member – free or paid membership.


Why can't I rate a business twice?
A business can be rated only once in 24 hours, by a unique IP.

You need to upgrade your membership account to have your phone number and many other great features enabled.


How can I upgrade my account?
You need to log in to BusinessExposure.ca, AdvertisingCalgary.ca, MyCanBiz.com, RateCanBiz.com with your username and password and choose the features you want to upgrade your account.


My Business is already listed at BusinessExposure.ca, AdvertisingCalgary.ca, MyCanBiz.com, RateCanBiz.com. How can I change the inaccurate information?
First you need to register as a member on BusinessExposure.ca, AdvertisingCalgary.ca, MyCanBiz.com, RateCanBiz.com website - FREE. After the registration you need to send us an email at admin@BusinessExposure.ca, AdvertisingCalgary.ca, MyCanBiz.com, RateCanBiz.com and identify yourself as the rightful representative of the business and claim that business.

After verification we will transfer the business account to the rightful business representative. The business representative can change the business information at any time.



Why is my business already listed?
A consumer – possibly a former or present client of yours, has most likely listed your business.


If my Business is already listed by a consumer, can the consumer change my business information?
NO, a consumer can only submit a known business for rating. Once the business was submitted, the consumer does not have access to change the business information. Only the rightful representative of that business can update the information.


What can I submit on a FREE listing?
A FREE listing contains:

You need to register as a member. You can choose the free membership to start. Then visit 'Compare Memberships' section to see which plan is more convenient for your business.


How can I list my business on 'Featured Listings'?
Businesses that select ‘Featured Listings’, ‘Top and Side Banner’, ‘Side Banner’ and ‘Top Banner’ upgraded memberships shall have their listings displayed on Featured Listings Sidebox.


How can I add Featured Products?
After upgrading your membership to Top, Side, Top & Side Banners you can add products that will display on ‘Featured Products’.


How can I get additional online exposure?
You need to upgrade your account and after that in your account you can find extra options for advertising.


What is the Standard size for Banners?
To prevent distorted images on logos, products, banners or other images please note the maximum allowed sizes are:

Side Banner: 200x100 Pixels

Top Banner: 468x60 Pixels

Products: 600x600 Pixels

Logo: 300x300 Pixels



What happen with graphics that do not meet our standards?
Graphics that do not meet these maximum requirements are not accepted by BusinessExposure.ca, AdvertisingCalgary.ca, MyCanBiz.com, RateCanBiz.com™ system!

Technical Q&A


I signed up two days ago and I still cannot log in. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
New submissions are reviewed by the next business day. We do not review submissions on weekends or during the holidays. Since your registration was submitted over the weekend, your listing had not been approved for you to be able to log in. Upon approval of your listing, you will receive an email notification. Once you have been approved, you may log in to edit your listing.


How do the banners display?
Top & Side Banners display on a rotating basis. Our system displays fairly all the registered banners. Sometimes the browsers are loaded with background information collected during browsing the web. This information might prevent the display of your banner(s). You need to delete temporary files, history, cookies and web information from your browser to get properly distributed and displayed banners.


I don't remember my password or my login information. How can I get it?

What should I do if my email address changes?
If your email address has changed and the email address on file is no longer active, you will need to contact us and submit your new email address. It is important that we have a valid email address to contact you.

Additionally, if you have forgotten your username and/or password, you will not be able to reset your login information as the login reminder tool uses email notification.

Listings with invalid email addresses will be removed from our database. If you are a paid member, no refund will be issued for the unused portion of your annual membership
